What’s Been Going on in January at the House:

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all are staying warm this month as snow storms rip across the country. In Florida, we do enjoy the cooler temperatures, but I feel it’s been a gray winter for our sunshine state.

Now that we are mid-month I’d like to take time to catch everyone up on what’s been going on at the House in January.

About The House:

In case you missed it, we’ve taken down our Christmas decorations on our website and moved into a more winter aesthetic. Hope you like it.

In the Kitchen:

Our Kitchen is still closed for renovations, as we continue to look for someone who loves the art of homemaking. If that’s you shoot me an email tammycarteradams@thehallelujahhouse.com. We hope to begin our kitchen articles in February.

In the Living Room:

We are pleased to announce podcasts are in the works and starting with a message from Tammy Carter Adams on a word God’s given her for this year.

In The Studio:

On our Instagram: Lisa Sciaccia shares an easy still-life tutorial. If you’re stuck inside due to inclement weather, grab your water colors and an orange (the fruit) and try painting something that reminds you of the sunny days ahead. So, go check out the Orange Still Life.

On You Tube: Our resident artist Angela Matos gives us another creative Bible journal page based on this month’s memory verse.

“…But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead. I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13b-14 (ESV)

Looking Ahead this Month:

On the easel this month we will take a look at the color white and a brave artist by the name of William Turner. We also will have a teaching titled The Living Water while Brandi Feher our resident pottery artist creates a pitcher.

In the Library:

Coming this spring in The Library we will start an online book club. Periodically a book will be selected after which we will host an online zoom discussion of its content.

If you’re a Christian writer who’d like your book to be considered for our book club, please email tammycarteradams@thehallelujahhouse.com, and include  a brief synopsis, genre, and your contact information. We’d love to hear from you and look forward to our interesting literary conversations in The Library.

In the Playroom:

In the Playroom this month our little residents will learn how to create a mixed- media still life using scraps of fabric and papers.

We hope you all are enjoying a blessed New Year and staying warm and healthy. Thank you all for your support, and special thanks to those who’ve remained subscribers throughout our transition. If you haven’t already done so, please check out our social media sites where our tutorials are being posted. The links can all be found on our link tree.
