This morning, I’d like to write off the top of my head and this will be a short ramble. I don’t do this often because well…it’s a wonderland in my ADD mind and I’d probably scare you away.
I don’t know about you, but I’m so weary of Corona talk, hand sanitizers, masks, and social distancing. The media chews on this Covid situation like the bulls outside my window chew on their grass.
I prayed about that very thing this morning. I told God I’m so sick of it all. It’s Thanksgiving and some states are dictating how to have your Thanksgiving dinner. I’m witnessing an obsession unfolding to the point, if you don’t wear a mask or practice social distancing, you could be treated downright ugly. The powers that be have us exactly where they want us. Don’t they?

But how about some truth?
We must be careful our physical sanitation doesn’t become more important than our spiritual sanitation.
Jesus says it best…
“For out of the hearts come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. These are what defile a person. But to eat with unwashed hands does not defile anyone.” Matt. 15:19-20 ESV.
All of us should take some time this Thanksgiving to not only express our gratitude to our Heavenly Father, but also cleanse our hearts of fear, pride, and making a virus a god.
Yeah, I said it.
Our Father is bigger than a puny virus.
Hope the day ahead is filled with joy, gratitude, love, and lots of good food.
Happy Thanksgiving!
