Tammy Carter Adams
Founder and Editor in Chief
Tammy Carter Adams is the founder of The Hallelujah House and has shared her faith journey for thirteen years via her blog, other ministry sites, and publications as a freelance writer and content maker. She is a member of the Florida Writer’s Association, and the Winter Garden Art Association. In 2019, Tammy opened the doors of her blog to contributing writers and created her first team, leading The Hallelujah House to win first place in the Blue Ridge Christian Writer’s Conference Foundation Awards in 2022.
Tammy grew up in an artistic family in rural Virginia. Her mother instilled the love of music and nature, and her father the love for writing, painting, and history. Both parents, being heavily involved in ministry, planted a love for The Scriptures and Jesus into their brood. The weaving of faith, writing, arts, and nature created a colorful canvas that’s still prevalent in Tammy’s life today. It is from this humble beginning the idea behind The Hallelujah House is born.
Tammy moved to Tampa, Florida in her mid-twenties where she married her husband, Jay. They settled in Orlando, Florida, and started a family which quickly grew to three sons and after ten years added a daughter.
Tammy began painting as a stay-at-home Mom of three boys after praying for this gift, and God—being the giver of good gifts—released it. It is in her quiet time, at the keyboard, and in front of the canvas, Tammy feels His guiding presence fluidly.
Tammy is passionate about leading her children and other women into an abiding relationship with the Father, and hosts retreats at her farmhouse on a working farm, in the sticks of Georgia.
Tammy’s life passage is, “Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead. I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13-14 (ESV)
