Meet Brandon Carter

Brandon Carter is a native and resident of the Tidewater area of Virginia. He began sketching at the age of four. When his parents realized his love for art and talent, they put him in painting lessons. By the age of twelve he began winning multiple awards as well as “Best in show” in the art competitions, beating out several accomplished artists including his own teacher. By the time he turned fifteen, his teacher released him due to the fact he had advanced her abilities. Primarily Brandon uses acrylics in his work, and his talent affords a wide range from realistic portraits to impressionist landscapes to modern abstracts. His work has been featured in newspaper columns and shows as well as a father-son exhibit in Norfolk, Va. where his paintings appeared alongside his father’s, David Carter.

Brandon is happily married to Kelly and has two adult sons who work alongside  him in the family business. He currently runs Brandon House Furniture in Suffolk, Va. When Brandon’s not working or creating art, he loves spending time with his bride aboard their boat. Brandon attends Believer’s Baptist Church and his life verse is Romans 15:13, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”
